Even though Spring is not officially here, summer school signups are quickly approaching. The Palos Verdes Unified School District has posted the calendar for this year’s summer programs and, if history repeats itself, they will fill up fast.
Registration for elementary students for summer school will begin on Monday, March 31. 2014. The classes will be held this year at Dapplegray, Vista Grande and Cornerstone. The school hours will be 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and classes run from June 16 through July 11, 2014.
Registration for intermediate students who will be participating in a Summer Program, will begin at 9:00 a.m. on April 7, 2014. This year, classes will be offered at Palos Verdes Intermediate, Ridgecrest Intermediate and Miraleste Intermediate. Classes start at 8:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Students will be attending classes from June 16 through July 11, 2014.
Summer high school for students in grades nine through twelve, will be offered at Peninsula High School. Online registration will be activated according to the specific grade. On Tuesday, March 18th, PVPUSD Seniors (Grade 12 in Sept. 2014) will be able to start registration at 6:30 a.m. On Wednesday, March 19th, PVPUSD Juniors (Grade 11 in Sept 2014) will be activated at 6:30 a.m. On Thursday, March 20th, PVPUSD Sophomores (grade 10 in September 2014) will be activated at 6:30 a.m. On Monday, April 14, 2014, PVPUSD Freshman (Grade 9 in September 2014) will be activated at 6:30 a.m. Open registration for all students including out of district will open on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. These classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. – 12:55 p.m. Summer school session #1 will start on June 16 and go through July 3, 2014, and session #2 will go from July 7 through July 24, 2014.
