Palos Verdes home owners are lucky to have the Norris Theatre located right here on the Peninsula. “The Drowsy Chaperone,” is a madcap muciscal comedy and also the winner of five Tony Awards, will be playing at the Norris beginning on April 25th and running through May 11, 2014.  This is a fun toe tapping trip back to the golden age of musicals.

“The Drowsy Chaperone” was a fictional 1928 smash hit which featured a musical theatre fanatic who tries to chase the blues away by playing his favorite cast album.  This show starts in a living room and then everything changes when a pampered Broadway starlet wants to get married.  This sounds like a fun story with not only gansters and pastry chefs, but a tipsy chaperone and a Latin lover.  The show spoofs musical comedies.  You will enjoy the showstopping tunes played by a 12 piece orchestra shows off what the critics call “the perfect Broadway musical.”  To read more about the Norris Theatre, click here.
