Palos Verdes Offers Children’s Cooking Classes
Palos Verdes homes owners have a great opportunity to help their children get interested in healthy eating at a young age. Have you ever wanted to find a cooking class that will help our cooks of tomorrow start early? The City of Rancho Palos Verdes is joining with CrEATive Plate in starting these activities at a young age. Incredible Edible Cooking class is being offered for kids 5 through 13 years of age, who are interested in hands-on activities and cooking creativity, with the emphasis being on healthy food choices. Children will learn to chop, blend, mix, measure, mince and will learn to make recipe adjustments while using hands-on cooking tools, plus incorporating time management, organizational and social skills. Each week children will bring home new recipes to share with you.
The classes will take place at Hesse Park on Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m., beginning on February 16, 2017, through March 9, 2017.
