Palos Verdes Firework Shows 2017 Viewing Locations

Palos Verdes homes owners have a great opportunity on the Peninsula to enjoy this wonderful holiday.  Beginning in the morning at Malaga Cove School or Point Vicente Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, there are day long celebrations.  After dusk, from Palos Verdes we are lucky to be able to watch fireworks up and down the coast in the skies above local South Bay cities.  This year there will not be fireworks off the coast of Torrance Beach.  After last years special fireworks show put on by the sons of the late Jackie Briles, in her honor, a group of Palos Verdes home owners tried to reach out to businesses and local residents to keep the tradition alive. However, after months of advertising and looking for private donations they came up short.  So they are not giving up and hopefully will be able to put on the show in 2018.  For more information or if you are interested in donating for next year go to www.palosverdesfireworks.com.

The city of Torrance will be hosting a fireworks show at the Torrance Civic Center.  There will be seating available at the Torrance Toyota Sports Complex located at 555 Maple Ave, Torrance, which will open at 7:00 p.m.  Go to www.torranceca.gov to find out more about these free tickets.  The actual firework show will be starting at 9:00 p.m..

A little further up the coast in Redondo Beach, Seaside Lagoon will once again be celebrating the holiday beginning at 2:00 p.m.  You can enjoy water games and fun, arts and crafts and musical entertainment.   There is a flat fee of $30.00 for parking at the Marina Parking Lot and Pier Garage.  Ticket prices for the event are $25/adults, and $15 for children 0 – 12.  It does sell out early, and purchasing tickets as soon as possible is a must.  For more information on the Lagoon and/or to purchase tickets go to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/seaside-lagoon-4th-of-july-fireworks-celebration-tickets-34836916154.

On the other side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula in San Pedro, Cabrillo Beach will once again present their fireworks show at 9:00 p.m.  This is a great place to bring the family to the beach to enjoy the fireworks show.  And if weather permits, from Cabrillo Beach you can also view the firework show off of the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

Choose your location and get ready for the Fourth of July fireworks.  Just grab a blanket and enjoy!
