Enjoy Palos Verdes Library District’s September Free Movies!

pvld

The Palos Verdes Library District has great free movies that they will be showing in the month of September.  Each month they offer a different selection of foreign movies, the latest releases and classic cinema.  Most of the screenings will have some post film discussion which adds an opportunity to socialize with others in the community.  The September Classic Movies at Noon will not be taking place because of the Labor Day holiday, but will return in October with In The Heat of the Night which will be shown on Monday, October 2, 2017, from 12:00 noon to 2:30 p.m.  The Classic Movies at Noon series takes place on the first Monday of every month and features Hollywood films from the 1930s through the 1970s.

On Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 5:30 p.m., Cine-Monde film series (a film series featuring notable films from around the globe) will be screening Queens.  The Multiplex film series (featuring notable, popular and recent American releases from Hollywood) occurs on the fourth Thursday of the month September 28, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., and in September will be presenting The Zookeepers Wife.  These events are free and open to the public.  Following the film, there may be a brief discussion facilitated by the coordinator of the series.

All of the film screenings will take place at the Peninsula Center Library Community Room.  The Peninsula Center Library is located at 701 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates.  For more information regarding any of the films, call 310-377-9584, ext 214 or contact Joshua at jpeck@pvld.org.
