Palos Verdes Art Center Spring Classes 2018 Are Here!
The Palos Verdes Art Center’s spring session registration is filling up fast for “The Studio School” where classes are being taught for both children and adults.
The children’s classes available this session include: Paint,Cut,Paste,Play! for pre-K & Kindergarten, Exploring Art for Kindergarten & 1st grade, Storytelling & Illustration, Youth Drawing, Cartooning, Printmaking, Watercolor & Pastel for 2nd & 3rd Grades, Botanical Art, Drawing & Painting for 4th & 5th grades, and Drawing & Painting & Youth Wheel for 6th & 7th Grades. They will also be offering the Culinary Club this year for students 8 -12 years of age, and Printing Immersion for high school students.
Some of the adult classes that are available this Spring are Art History, Asian Art History, Ceramics, Intro to the Wheel, Surface Design, Drawing, Glass Blowing, Printmaking, Painting, Textiles & Design, and Jewelry Design. Some of these classes include visits to the exhibition galleries and interaction with skilled professionals. The instruction is not always based on a set formula. Some of the smaller classes are taught by artists and educators that base instruction on individual needs. These adult classes are ten weeks long, and class prices vary depending on the size of the class and the materials needed.
