Palos Verdes homes owners have a great opportunity on the Peninsula to enjoy this wonderful holiday.  Beginning in the morning at Malaga Cove School or Point Vicente Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, there are day long celebrations.  After dusk, from Palos Verdes we are lucky to be able to watch fireworks up and down the coast in the skies above local South Bay cities.  This year we will be able to enjoy fireworks from the barge off the coast of Torrance Beach.  PalosVerdesFireworks.com reached out to local residents and business owners, and the owner of Pedone’s stepped up to fund this year’s show.  Hopefully, everyone will realize how important these fireworks are to the community, and will donate to make sure we can enjoy them next year.  For more information or if you are interested in donating for next years show, go to www.palosverdesfireworks.com.

The city of Torrance will be hosting a fireworks show at the Torrance Civic Center.  There will be seating available at the Torrance Toyota Sports Complex located at 555 Maple Ave, Torrance, which will open at 7:00 p.m.  These FREE tickets are available now, and must be picked up in advance from either the Cultural Arts Center Box office at the James Armstrong Theater (3330 Civic Center Drive) or from the Community Services Department located in the West Annex of City Hall (3031 Torrance Blvd).  For more information, call the Community Services Office at (310) 618-2930.  The actual firework show will be starting at 9:00 p.m..

This year, the Seaside Lagoon will have their Fourth of July celebration on Sunday, July 1, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  You can enjoy water games, arts and crafts, and musical entertainment.   There is a flat fee of $20.00 for parking at the Marina Parking Lot and Pier Garage.  Ticket price is $25 per person.  It does sell out early, and purchasing tickets as soon as possible is a must.  For more information on the Lagoon and/or to purchase tickets go to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/redondo-beach-independence-fireworks-july-1st-tickets-46120044294.

On the other side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula in San Pedro, Cabrillo Beach will once again present their fireworks show at 9:00 p.m.  This is a great place to bring the family to the beach to enjoy the fireworks show.  And if weather permits, from Cabrillo Beach you can also view the firework show off of the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

Choose your location and get ready for the 2018 Fourth of July fireworks.  Just grab a blanket and enjoy!
