Terranea Resort Is Going Pink for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2018

Terranea Resort will be joining National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October 2018 by showing guests how to enjoy Terranea through rose colored glass.  Whether it includes pink flowers, pink lighting, glasses of rose upon arrival, pink food and beverage offerings, a portion of all the proceeds from the activities on the property will be donated to national organizations which benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and local groups like Cancer Support Community of Redondo Beach (a free program to help with the emotional support and education offered to people with cancer and their loved ones at any stage of diagnosis).

Hotel guests will notice while dining, that there will be a selection of rose hued desserts served at Sea Beans such as pink macrons, pink sugar cookies, pink brule kronuts and strawberry lemonade cupcakes, sugar cookie six packs, cake lollipops and cake trifle jars.  Each one of these items purchased will have $.50 donated to the fund, and each pink sling cocktail purchased will be adding $2.00 to the fund.  The ONEHOPE rose by the glass, with $1.00 per glass donated to the fund, will be offered in the Catalina Kitchen, Bashi and the Lobby Bar.  Finally, Nelson’s Signature Crab Cake Sliders have gone pink and include a $1.00 give back.

In the spa/fitness area, Spa guests can enjoy the signature body treatment, of which $1.00 from each treatment will be donated to breast cancer research.  Wear pink on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., for Full Moon Yoga under the autumn moon. Please bring a yoga mat and $20 for contribution to the local charity, Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach.  If you work up a thirst you can enjoy a pink strawberry lemonade at the Spa Cafe with $.50 donated for each one sold in October.

If golf is on your list, on Saturday, October 20, 2018, Terranea will host Birdies for Breast Cancer.  Proceeds from this entry will go directly to Cancer Support Community of Redondo Beach.  The marketplace and luncheon will begin at 12:00 noon and will feature live music, food & wine tastings, raffle prizes, live and silent auctions and games.

Let’s not forget retail at Marea Boutique.  Here they will showcase jewelry brand Gorjana’s pink gemstone line by offering 10% off the entire collection.  At Pointe Discovery you can shop for pink Pura Vida bracelets and pink s’well bottles, with a 10% donation made to the fund.

Additionally, any recreational activity that is booked in October, will result in Terranea donating $5 to the programs.
