Palos Verdes Fun Local Summer Camps 2019!

Palos Verdes home owners have a great selection of local summer camps right her on the Peninsula.  School is out for most children, so it is time to start looking for activities to entertain them.  Below are just a few of the activities and camps located here in the area to choose from.

Elite Dance Studio is offering children an opportunity to spend the week sampling various types of dance including: Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Music Theater, Tumbling, Voice, Bollywood, Cheer Choreo, Acting/Improv,  and more.  This camp is perfect for kids 5 to 10 years of age at any of the week sessions.  Children 11 to 15 will be able to enjoy the camps on weeks 2 & 4.  Camps will be offered in one week sessions starting now through August 9, 2019.  Prices vary, and you should sign up as soon as possible because enrollment will be limited.  The camp hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  For more information go to www.elitedancerhe.com.

PV Surf Camp is a local youth surf camp which has been in operation for 18 years and is for ages 6 to 15.  The camp offers various programs depending on age and skill level.  The programs vary for the participant who has never surfed and requires one to one support in the water at all times, to the intermediate surfer who wants to improve their skills (The ratio is never more than 4 to 1 instructor).  The camp is open now and has weekly sessions up until August 16, 2019.  The cost per session is $275 for the first week, and $225 for any additional weeks.  The sessions are from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  For more information go to www.pvsurfcamp.com, or call (310) 908-8164.

Peninsula Sports Camps have been offering children full and half day camps in Palos Verdes since 1972.  These camps are held at Palos Verdes High School which overlooks the ocean on the west side of the Peninsula.  The great thing about these camps is the variety.  Children can enjoy their favorite sport – baseball, basketball, tennis and soccer, and then enjoy a swim in the pool to cool off.  Children can purchase lunch at the snack shop.   At the end of their camp session, children will receive awards for their sports.  The cost per child for full day camp is $270, and half day camps are $150.  For more information on Peninsula Sports Camps or to register, go to www.peninsulasportscamps.com or call (310) 213-5433.  Remember the camps do fill up fast so it is important to register soon.

Peninsula Bay Cities Day Camp and Swim School is located at Marymount California University Campus College in Rancho Palos Verdes.  This camp has been operating for 25 years and will offer a traditional summer day camp program with instructions in swimming, archery, all court, diamond and field sports, horsemanship, sleep away, adventure trek, arts & crafts, educational fun and other activities.  For more information on dates and times for this camp, go to www.pbcdaycamp.com or call (310) 541-3664.  Tuition amount varies per activity.  Campers can be from 4 to 17 years of age.
