Palos Verdes 2019 Fourth of July Celebrations!

                          

Palos Verdes Fourth of July Celebrations 2019 gives Palos Verdes homes owners three different kind of festivities to enjoy during the holiday.  hours.  One will take place at Malaga Cove School, the second will take place at Point Vicente Park Community Center and a third will take place at Terranea Resort – each one giving residents a day of fun.

Palos Verdes Estates homes owners will be holding their 58th Annual Independence Day Celebration at Malaga Cove School.  The celebration is an annual community tradition where volunteers work together to provide a day of family fun and a renewed sense of appreciation for our independence and freedom.  This year’s Kenneth T. Norris Heritage of Freedom Award recipient is Gwynne Shotwell, President & COO of SPAXEX.  Other awards to be presented will be The Van Dine Family Americanism Award, the Military Service Award and the Hardwick Memorial Award. The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with Apple Pie Entries being dropped off for the judging that will take place at 9:30 a.m. Face Painting will also be offered to get children ready for the big Children’s Patriotic Bicycle Parade which starts at 10:10 a.m.  At 10:15 the Magic Show will start, and at 10:30 a.m. the formal program and award presentations will begin.  After the dedication ceremonies, (and beginning around noon) there will be picnics, family games and patriotic music.

Malaga Cove School is located at 300 Paseo Del Mar, Palos Verdes Estates.

Rancho Palos Verdes will be hosting their 44th Annual Independence Day Celebration at Point Vicente Park Civic Center from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Starting at 11:00 a.m. there will be guest entertainers followed by a Flag Ceremony, PV Symphonic Band and the Mayors Welcome.  Later, there will be a Watermelon Roll Contest, Egg Toss Contest, Pie Eating Contest, Arts & Crafts with Art to Grow On, Lady Liberty Selfies station, Kiddies Carnival rides, Hula Hoop Contest and live music and dancing.  There will also be a food court and beer & wine garden.  Admission to the celebration is free, but parking is $5.  There is a complimentary shuttle service provided from Ralph’s Market (Hawthorne & Crest) and the Point Vicente Interpretive Center.  For more information call the Rancho Palos Verdes Recreation and Parks Department at (310) 544-5260.

Point Vicente Park Civic Center is located at 30940 Hawthorne Blvd, Rancho Palos Verdes.

Terranea Resort will be rocking Independence Day with their Music on the Meadows concert running from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., where you can enjoy the BBQ, craft beers, wine and cocktails.  Headliners will be Wilson Phillips, J.R. Richards (Dishwalla) and others will have a supporting cast of musicians and bands throughout the day.  Tickets are $65 and you can purchase them from www.terranea.com.
