2013 was a good year for Palos Verdes real estate with increases in all categories! 710 single family Palos Verdes homes sold in 2013 compared to 638 homes in 2012 – up 11%. 2013 average sales price for Palos Verdes homes was $1,443,903 compared to $1,349,211 in 2012 – an increase of 7%. Average price per square foot for Palos Verdes homes sold in 2013 was $526 compared to $471 in 2012 – an increase of 11.7%.
The mix of Palos Verdes homes sales for 2013 showed more sales in the higher end and less sales under $1,000,000. In 2013, 202 Palos Verdes homes sold for $1,000,000 or under (compared to 252 homes in 2012). In 2013, 407 Palos Verdes homes sold between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000 (compared to 298 homes in 2012). In 2013, 94 Palos Verdes homes sold between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000 (compared to 82 homes in 2012). Finally, in 2013, 7 Palos Verdes homes sold over $5,000,000 (compared to 6 homes in 2012). The most expensive home sold in 2013 for $8,750,000 compared to $7,000,000 in 2012.
