Palos Verdes Real Estate Neighborhood Statistics For 2012 First Half

West Palos Verdes posted the largest gain in average sales price for Palos Verdes homes – $2,662,222 for the first half of 2012 compared to $1,249,286 in the first half of 2011.  The Lunada Bay/Margate, Palos Verdes Drive North, Country Club, Los Verdes, Peninsula Center and Palos Verdes Drive South neighborhoods also showed small gains in average sales price.   The City of Rolling Hills posted the largest decrease in average sales price – $2,510,278 for the first half of 2012 compared to $3,490,000 in the first half of 2011.

West Palos Verdes posted the largest gain in average square foot price for Palos Verdes homes sold – a 35% increase from $451 in the first half of 2012 compared to $610 in the first half of 2011.  Lunada Bay/Margate, Rolling Hills, Palos Verdes Drive South and Country Club also showed gains in square footage price.  Mira Catalina showed the largest decrease in square foot price (19.7%) from $387 in the first half of 2012 compared to $482 in the first half of 2011.

Palos Verdes Drive North posted the largest number of Palos Verdes homes sold in the first half of 2012 – 41 houses (20 houses in the first half of 2011).  Monte Malaga, Valmonte, Palos Verdes Drive East, West Palos Verdes, La Cresta, Crest and Silver Spur also had an increase in number of homes sold in the first half of 2012 compared to the same time period in 2011.
