Free E-Books & Movies At Peninsula Center Library!

The Palos Verdes Library District is giving  Palos Verdes homes owners some new activities offered for free at our local library.  The library is giving its patrons the opportunity to learn how to borrow e-books for FREE from the library.  The Peninsula Center Library, will be offering eBook classes for your iPadKindle and Nook to assist you in becoming more familiar with your device and how to access the eBooks.  The classes will take place on 3 consecutive Mondays, March 4, 2013, from 5-6:30 p.m. for the  iPad,  March 11, 5-6:30 p.m. for the Kindle, and March 18, 5-6:30 p.m. for the Nook.  For more information contact the Reference Desk at (310) 377-9584 ext. 601.

The Library is now showing Free Movies.  Each month they will be offering a different selection of foreign movies, the latest releases and classic cinema.  Most of the screenings will have some post film discussions which adds an opportunity to socialize with the community. In March the following movies will be presented:  Tuesday, March 12, 12:00 p.m. Movies at Noon will be showing The Quiet Man,  Thursday, March 14, 5:30 p.m., Cine Monde film series, Robot & Frank, Thursday, March 28, 5:30 p.m., The Multiplex Film series will be showing ARGO, which has just won multiple awards.
