Palos Verdes Homes Sales December 2024

Palos Verdes real estate sales December 2024 for Palos Verdes homes increased to compared November.  36 Palos Verdes houses sold in December compared to 31 homes in November and increased compared to the 33 homes that sold in December 2023.  There were 24 Palos Verdes single family homes pending in December which decreased from the 38 homes pending in November.  The number of active Palos Verdes homes for sale in December (92) decreased from the 129 homes for sale in November.

Average sales price for Palos Verdes homes sold in December decreased to $2,220,000 compared to $2,413,000 in November and decreased from December 2023 at $2,630,000.  Price per square foot for Palos Verdes houses that sold/closed escrow in December decreased to $813 from $918 in November.  Average days on market in December was 46 days which decreased from 50 days in November.  Months of inventory (months it would take to sell existing inventory at the current rate of sale) was 2.6 months in December which decreased from 4.2 months in November for Palos Verdes homes for sale.  A “normal” or balanced market is considered 3 to 6 months of inventory (less than 3 months is a seller’s market and more than 6 months is a buyer’s market).  Entire charts can be accessed by clicking here or on the “Statistics” tab above.

Currently, there are 107 single family Palos Verdes homes for sale.  30 Palos Verdes houses are in escrow (17 homes have pending sales and 13 homes are active under contract).  Additionally, 10 homes have sold/closed escrow in the first 10 days of January.
