Palos Verdes Land Conservancy Presents The 2019 Beauty Of Nature Film Series

Palos Verdes home owners have the opportunity to view The Beauty of Nature Film Series sponsored by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy.  This month the film series will be showing THE DAWN WALL on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School.

This film tells the incredible story of American rock climbers Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson, the climbers who captivated the world while living on the sheer vertical cliff of El Capitan for weeks.  This was part of their effort to climb this seemingly impossible “unclimbed” route on the 3,000 foot rock face in Yosemite National Park.  While facing tremendous obstacles losing his index finger in an accident, Tommy Caldwell confronted the issue of whether he should abandon his partner to fulfill his ultimate dream, or risk his own success for the sake of their friendship.  This heart told story will keep you at the edge of your seat, while watching the challenges that these two faced.

The cost for film tickets are $10.  Youth under 12 are free.

Palos Verdes Peninsula High School is located at 27118 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates.
