Hiking in Palos Verdes is a popular past time. Oceanfront Estates Bluff Trail is an easy walk along the ocean bluff in Rancho Palos Verdes with views of Santa Monica Bay all the way around to Malibu. You also have an excellent view of the Lighthouse, Catalina Island and several bays/coves.
Oceanfront Estates Bluff Trail is 2.2 miles round trip and can be accessed by starting at Point Vicente Interpretive Center and walking to the north or you can enter through Oceanfront Estates (at the end of Hawthorne, cross Palos Verdes Drive West and the street turns into Via Vicente. Bear right onto Calle Entradero and there are parking areas along the street).
The trail is quiet and peaceful. There are benches to sit and take it all in. You can also stop at Golden Cove Center (just across Hawthorne Boulevard) and pick up lunch or a snack for your walk.
