It is time again for owners of Palos Verdes homes (and/or tenants) who have children entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2011 to be planning for Kindergarten Roundup (Registration). This is an important event if you have Kindergarten age children because some Palos Verdes elementary schools are impacted. If you want to be assured that your child will go to their neighborhood school, then Kindergarten is the best time to do so.
Parent orientation will be taking place on January 31st and also February 1st at 7:00 p.m. Palos Verdes’ highly successful kindergarten program is very important for any child getting ready to enter the Palos Verdes Unified School District. The kindergarten orientation meetings will be held at Vista Grande Elementary School on Monday, January 31st, located at 7032 Purpleridge Dr., Rancho Palos Verdes; and Dapplegray Elementary on Tuesday, February 1st, located at 3011 Palos Verdes Drive North, Rolling Hills Estates. Children are not required to attend these meetings.
Kindergarten registration packets are offered at all school offices starting on Tuesday, February 9th. When picking up your packets, remember that you must bring proof of age by either birth certificate or passport, to show that the child was born on or before December 2, 2006. Also, it is required that you bring proof of residency within the school district boundary.
