Malaga Cove Cafe is a little secret known to most Palos Verdes real estate owners. It is located in Malaga Cove Plaza in Palos Verdes Estates and is owned by the former pastry chef from Chez Melange. Therefore, I can still get some of my favorite Chez desserts from the “old” Chez menu like the Lemon Lavender Posset, Chocolate Nut Torte, and scones.
Malaga Cove Cafe, in my opinion, makes the best soups on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Their Lime Chicken Soup, Carrot Ginger Soup and Vegatable anything soups are my favorite. You can call in the morning and they will tell you which two fresh soups they are making that day. You can either dine in (or on their patio) at Malaga Cove Cafe or get it to go and enjoy it in the comfort of your own Palos Verdes house. In addition to lunch, they also serve great breakfast.
