The 2013 Homes Tour Extraordinaire this year features not only three distinctive homes but also a tour of the “new” Palos Verdes Art Center/Beverly G. Alpay Center for Art Education. The tour this year will feature a celebration of the designs of Edward Carson Beall. The first is a Charming Old Spanish Style Home built in 1936 and located in the “tree section” of Palos Verdes Estates. This home’s interior has an Old World Ambiance which was inspired by a trip to Tuscany.
The next home sits at the ocean’s edge and over four somewhat unknown surf breaks. This beautiful Lunada Bay Estate built in 1970 was one of Ed Beall’s first commissions. This 3,000 square foot home on a half acre will give you a relaxing feeling of openness, while you watch the surfers below.
The last on the tour is a Charming Tuscan View Home with over 4,800 square feet of Old World Charm. From it’s palette of neutrals and rich warm accent colors, to arched doorways and beamed cathedral ceilings, the furnishings have added to the ambiance and brought forth an eclectic charm. As you wander outside you can see the beautiful view of the coastline all the way to Malibu.
Mark your calendar for Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13, 2013, and join the tour from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. The tour will include a delicious lunch, local boutiques and the Circle’s Classy Collectibles. The 2013 Homes Tour Extraordinaire is produced by The Circle, a fundraising organization of the Palos Verdes Art Center/Beverly G. Alpay Center for Arts Education. Palos Verdes homes owners know that the proceeds from this annual event benefit visual arts exhibits, education and community outreach.
Pre-sale tickets are $40 member/$45 non-members of the Art Center. Tickets sold on the days of the tour are $50 each. Tickets can be purchased online at www.pvartcenter.org. or by calling (310) 541-2479.
