Document shredding and e-waste disposal are important for Palos Verdes homes owners. This gives us a chance to rid ourselves of all the articles we have been saving throughout the year that cannot be picked up at regular trash collections. We have two different opportunities and locations for our residents to take advantage of these offerings in April and May.
Rancho Palos Verdes residents will have the opportunity on Saturday, April 20, 2013, to have their documents shredded by EDCO and the City of Rancho Palos Verdes. They are sponsoring this free document paper shredding from 9:00 a.m. to noon, at the Rancho Palos Verdes Civic Center. The center is located at 30940 Hawthorne Blvd, Rancho Palos Verdes. This drop-off is for Rancho Palos Verdes residents only. Residents can safely dispose of personal documents right there on site. You can bring up to three “bankers” boxes per household. Electronic waste will also be collected at the same time and location. If you get there early you might be able to get some free mulch while the supplies last.
All Palos Verdes homes owners will be able to shred their documents on Saturday, April 20, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the “Go Green” professional document shredding mobile unit at the Resurrection Lutheran Church located at 330 Palos Verdes Boulevard, Redondo Beach (in the school parking lot). This free event is open to the public.
Palos Verdes will be holding it’s annual Household Hazardous Waste Round Up on Saturday, May 11, 2013, from 9:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Rancho Palos Verdes City Hall at 30940 Hawthorne Blvd. This event is sponsored by the Los Angeles County Sanitation District and Department of Public Waste. For more information go to www.pvestates.org or call (800) 238-0172. The City of Palos Verdes Estates also accepts electronic waste Monday – Friday at the City Yard adjacent to the Palos Verdes Police Department.
