Palos Verdes homes owners can enjoy another evening of summer fun by visiting the South Coast Botanic Garden for their July performances of Sunset Series, a weekly event that will bring the Garden to life after hours on Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This program began in May and will continue throughout the summer. Guests can roam the 87 acres or enjoy Dottie’s, the new food and beverage concession station near the Living Wall, where you can sip on a cocktail or grab a bite to eat while enjoying the Garden’s natural beauty, yard games and music. The younger generation will be entertained in the Kid’s Zone by the fun and energetic Ms. Allison. They can enjoy parachute fun, obstacle courses, lawn bowling, bubbles and more. The Garden will provide the fun, however, parents still provide the supervision.
Each week will change slightly in its programming. On July 6 is Disco Night with Live DJ, vocalist and trumpeter, July 13 – Runnin’ Down a Dream (Tom Petty cover band), July 20 – 80’s and 90’s Hip Hop with Live DJ, vocalist and saxophonist.
No outside food or beverage will be allowed during the Sunset Series. They are also offering an exclusive VIP experience. Upon purchasing a VIP ticket you get premium seating (still bring a blanket or lawn chair) access to the VIP bar, one free non-alcoholic Butterfly Palmer per ticket holder, unlimited access to SOAR, Tropical Butterflies throughout the night and early entry into the Garden (5:00 p.m. rather than 5:30 p.m.). This is truly an event for all, and to purchase tickets click here.
The South Coast Botanic Garden is located at 26322 Crenshaw Blvd, Palos Verdes Peninsula. Due to limited space, they recommend that you contact the Garden early to make your reservations.
