Palos Verdes home owners have a wonderful opportunity to support our local youth musicians, by joining them for Music in the Garden on March 16, 2024, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at the South Coast Botanic Garden.
This wonderful yearly event, organized by the Peninsula Committee Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Garden, gives the opportunity to young musicians from surrounding South Bay schools to perform and showcase their talent. Music in the Garden includes student orchestras and choral ensembles from Casimir Elementary, Ridgecrest Intermediate, Palos Verdes Intermediate, Palos Verdes High School, Palos Verdes Peninsula High School and South High.
The event will take place on the Lower Meadow and is included in the General Garden Admission. What a great way to spend a Saturday, enjoying the Garden’s new spring blooms then listening to these fantastic student musicians. It is recommended to purchase tickets soon since advance reservations are required on the weekend and you want to grab your tickets in advance to ensure parking.
The Peninsula Committee is one of the 17 Affiliate Committees that help support the mission of the LA Philharmonic. Founded in 1952, with volunteer support, these committees fund raise, facilitate youth music education and foster the love of music in the communities they serve. The members of the Peninsula Committee are local ambassadors for music from Palos Verdes Peninsula and the South Bay.
To enjoy this special musical experience which is included in the park admission, the price is $15/adult, $11/senior, $5/ 5-12 children, $11 student and under 4 is free. For more information or to purchase admission tickets click here.
