Palos Verdes home owners can enjoy the South Coast Botanic Garden’s Lunar New Year Celebration this February! The Garden will be showing its winter blooms and lush green foliage creating a stunning setting to Celebrate the Year of the Snake with Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean traditions. This will take place with festive activities every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month of February such as hands on art making stations where you can create vibrant kites and festive snake puppets or just enjoy an interactive plant walk. There will also be other fun highlights such as storytelling, a wishing tree and music. Three live performances which feature lion dancers, martial artists, folk dancers and drummers. These enjoyable events will take place each Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. for just a small additional fee. There will also be a photo booth, specialty foods and hand mixed special cocktails for purchase.
Park admission with the show is as follows: $6/for members, $23/for non-member adults, $13/children 5-12, $8/children 2-4 and $19/ for non-member students & seniors. These prices include entrance to the park also.
