Palos Verdes homes owners with school district age children who ride their e-bikes to school are required starting September 2, 2025, to have completed an e-bike safety course and registration process if riding to school. This new course is designed to enhance the safety of students who ride e-bikes to school. The Palos Verdes Peninsula cities will be offering a class on August 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
This free and educational course is for riders aged 10 and up. For riders under 18, a parent or guardian must come along for the ride. The course includes an engaging classroom session and an exciting hands-on riding experience, all thanks to our friends at Pedego Palos Verdes. When you complete the program you’ll earn a certificate that meets the Palos Verdes Unified School District requirement.
Registration takes place online at www.pvestates.org/ebikesafety. If you need more information, contact Captain Rebecca Gomez at (424) 347-2474.
The course will take place at Palos Verdes City Hall, 340 Palos Verdes Drive West, Palos Verdes Estates.
