Update from the mayors of the four cities on the Palos Verdes Peninsula will be addressing the public and answering questions at the annual Palos Verdes Peninsula Coordinating Council's State of Our Cities on September 22, 2011.

The 54th Rolling Hills Estates City Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Empty Saddle Club and will include equestrian events, pony rides, hay wagon rides, a petting zoo, games and other activities.

Portuguese Bend National Horse Show will begin on Friday, September 9, 2011, and continue through Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Ernie Howlett Park in Rolling Hills Estates 90274.

Palos Verdes Concours D'Elegance will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Trump National Golf Club featuring classic cars from both Europe and America.

Flavored Vinegar Workshop will be held at South Coast Botanic Garden on August 21, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. using local leaves, flowers and berries of Southern California native plants.

Hills Are Alive 10K/5K Run and 5K Walk will be held on August 13, 2011 at 8:00 starting at Ernie Howlett Park, Rolling Hills Estates and will benefit The Pepper Tree Foundation.

Palos Verdes homes owners celebrate National Night Out on August 2, 2011, with local police and fire departments at block parties throughout the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Children's Art Workshops will be offered at South Coast Botanic Garden on July 22, August 5 an August 26, 2011.

Palos Verdes/South Bay Red Cross Blood Drive to be held on Monday, July 18, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Remax South Bay Training Center, 23740 Hawthorne Boulevard #106, Torrance, CA 90505.

2011 Las Amigas De Las Lomas Horse Show at Ernie Howlett Park, Rolling Hills Estates, will be held Friday, July 15 through Sunday, July 17th.
