Palos Verdes homes owners have a great opportunity for their children to join the Palos Verdes Tennis Club’s Junior Program which is open for workouts year round. The program not only intruduces children from 4-17 years of age into the game of tennis, but has many different levels of play for children of all ages, and is available for members and non members.  This fun and challenging program has six USPTA certified tennis professionals with years of experience training junior players.  The junior program is designed to expose juniors to the whole spectrum of tennis: strokes, footwork, endurance and strategy and is intended to motivate children to play and gain as much experience as possible.  The Club runs small groups on a 6/1 student to pro ratio, to maximize quality.  They also have team tennis on the weekends.

The Junior Clubhouse is located next to Court #1, and is “home base” for the Junior Program.  All juniors are welcome to enjoy its use while waiting for lessons, clinics, matches, workouts, or just to visit with friends.  It is equipped with a TV, DVD, VCR and assorted board games, and has restroom facilities.

Hot Shots (ages 4-7) This program is an introduction to tennis using colorful teaching aids.  The use of foam balls and mini nets help to maximize the level progression of the students.  These classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:15 pm.
