Summer fun on the Palos Verdes Peninsula is not just for Palos Verdes homes owners, but is open to all. The Lunada Bay Homeowners Association will be hosting “Summer Concerts in the Park”at Lunada Bay Park, in Palos Verdes Estates 90274. It is recommended that you bring low beach chairs or blankets and a picnic dinner and enjoy the music for the three concerts this summer on the following Thursdays, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. They are:
07/14 – Mike Stocksdale Band (folk, rock alternative country music). Mike is a local artist who has been said to write like the Paul Simon of a new generation.
07/21 – Vibes Alive is a contemporary jazz group featuring Dirk Richter on vibes, Randall Crissman on guitar, Fred Johnson on bass, and Scott Babcock on drums. Currently the group enjoys playing Straight Ahead and Bluesy Jazz.
07/28 – Next Exit – This band plays classic to contemporary – old/new and rock out – Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow, U2 and more.
The Malaga Cove Business & Professional Association in cooperation with the The Palos Verdes Police Officer’s Association presents “Summer Concerts in the Park” at Farnham Martin’s Park (located next to the Malaga Cove Library in Palos Verdes Estates) on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m., starting on July 6th, and running until the end of August. You may bring your blankets at 3:00 p.m to save a spot. The list of this summer’s performers is not currently available, but we can expect superb entertainment as the past years’ performers have been great.
The Malaga Cove Library is located at 2400 Via Campesina, Palos Verdes Estates, and Lunada Bay Park is located on the corner of Palos Verdes Drive West and Via Carillo also in Palos Verdes Estates.
