Summer is starting to wind down, but the City of Rancho Palos Verdes has scheduled one more exciting activity to fill Palos Verdes homes owners children’s summer fun list. The Underwater Adventures Camp will be held from August 22, to August 26, 2011, and will be led by the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority rangers who will focus on life under the sea.
The participants will make crafts and engage in educational games, nature activities and team building exercises. The campers will explore underwater plants and animals, both common and mysterious. A field trip to the tide pools is also planned. Snacks will be provided.
Campers will meet from 8:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. Monday through Friday at the Ladera Linda Community Center, located at 32201 Forrestal Drive, Rancho Palos Verdes 90275. The cost is $175 per child, and the camp is geared to children 7-12 years of age.
