If you enjoy unique cars and a fun day outdoors on our beautiful Peninsula, Palos Verdes homes owners wil once again be given a special treat. The annual Palos Verdes Concours D’Elegance will be held on Sunday, September 18th, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the beautiful Trump National Golf Club. California Design & Style is this year’s theme celebrating the birth of the California car culture. Darrin Coachworks, American and European Classics, Ferraris, Woodies, Shelbys, Hot Rod Legends and more will also be on display.
This local event is considered to be one of the premiere concours events on the West Coast. It attracts some of the top exhibitors from not only Southern California, but also the Western United States. It will consist of classic cars with more than 200 of the finest American and European prewar, postwar, special and unique race cars in 22 competing classes. The Historic Indy 500 cars will be representing the 100 year celebration of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and six Indy 500 race cars will be exhibited. The new luxury car display will show us state-of-the-art new designs.
In addition to the car displays, restoration alley is returning which will include exhibits from the Art Center of Design, Palos Verdes Institute of Technology, and craftsmen showcasing their skills.
Other activities will include a boutique row, Guy Buffet Art and the Palos Verdes Art Center’s Art at your Fingertips group will have a car for children to paint. There is fine dining at the Trump Clubhouse and box lunches available for purchase on the field.
