On Saturday, October 1, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the South Coast Botanic Garden will be having it’s Annual Fall Plant Sale. For months, volunteers have been working in the propagation workshop to ready plants just for this sale. You will find exotic and unusual plants available for purchase this Saturday.
Palos Verdes homes owners have discovered the popularity of adding succulents to their garden. The use of succulents has exploded around the country and particularly in Southern California. At South Coast Botanic Garden, you can find many different type of plants which are native to the Palos Verdes area.
Admission to the sale is free, however, there are regular charges for the garden tour. Foundation members are invited to attend a Member Only Preview Night and Sale Fundraiser, from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, September 30. Tickets for this event are $20 in advance, and $25 at the door. For more information contact (310) 544-1948, or go to www.southcoastbotanicgarden.org.
