Palos Verdes homes owners are lucky to be able to watch fireworks from the Peninsula up and down the coast and in the skies above other South Bay cities. Off the coast of Torrance Beach (shot from a barge) at 9:00 p.m., there will again be a great fireworks show that is privately funded. This is a free event and will attract many people who will come to enjoy daytime beach activities and stay for the evening light show. As Torrance’s Wilson Park canceled their show again due to lack of funding, more people may be heading to Torrance Beach and parking may be challenging.
A little further up the coast in Redondo Beach, Seaside Lagoon will be once again celebrating the holiday with a large firework show at 9:00 p.m. and live entertainment throughout the day beginning at 2:00 p.m. There is a cover charge, and you will enjoy the water festivities and music production as well as the fireworks at night. For more information on the Lagoon go to http://www.redondofireworks.com/.
On the other side of the Peninsula, in San Pedro, Cabrillo Beach will once again present their fireworks show at 9:00 p.m. This is a great time to bring the family down to the beach and enjoy the local show. Also, you are usually able to view the firework show off of the Queen Mary in Long Beach.
Choose your location and get ready for the Fourth of July fireworks. Just grab a blanket and enjoy!
