Full Moon Hike at George F. Canyon Nature Preserve

On Friday, August 3, 2012, at 8:30 p.m., George F. Canyon will offer a Canyon Night Hike.  This is a hike that is usually only held in the summer (once a month).

The Canyon Night Hikes are one of the most unique encounters that the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy and The Nature Center offer.  Held on or near a full moon evening, this walk brings you to the top of the canyon for a fantastic view of city lights below.  You will be guided by an experienced volunteer on this two-mile round-trip hike, and will experience nocturnal delights (as well as a rise in elevation).

This hike will be lots of fun.  You must bring a flashlight in order to enjoy the sights.  Children must be at least 8 years old.  Please allow 2 hours for the walk.  There is a $10 per person fee and a limit of 20 participants.  Reservations are required.  Please call (310) 547-0862 to RSVP.
