After months of renovation, the Palos Verdes Art Center will be celebrating its Unveiling Of The New Palos Verdes Art Center this Saturday, March 16, 2013, from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. This gala event will begin with a cocktail reception and a Plein Air Exhibition. Afterward, there will be dinner and dancing under the stars. During the evening there will be an exclusive silent auction of “Petite Muse” a 1/3 scale version of the Palos Verdes Art Center’s new iconic sculpture, Muse, by Heath Sator. During the evening there will be a glass blowing demonstration and an opportunity to meet the new Executive Director, Joe Baker.
Black tie is optional and there will be valet parking. The cost is $225 per person, or $1800 for a table of 10. Reservations can be made by calling (310) 541-2479.
If you are looking for a little quieter evening, the Palos Verdes Art Center will be having a Pre-Opening Lecture & Opening Reception for Palos Verdes homes owners to enjoy, on Saturday, March 23rd. It will start with a lecture from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the Main Gallery with “100 Years of Plein Air Painting in California” by Jean Stern, Director of the Irvine Museum. The Opening Reception will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. hosted by the Palos Verdes Art Center. There is no cost for this fun & cultural event.
