Spring Break is almost here for Palos Verdes students and you may be looking for fun activities to fill the days. Palos Verdes homes owners have a few local activities to help keep the children entertained during the week.
AYSO Spring Soccer Camps are offering a session from March 25th to March 29, 2013, at Highridge Park. Children from 4 to 16 years of age can spend the mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. learning or improving their soccer skills. The cost of the camp is $130 per person, which includes a $10 administration fee. The Palos Verdes Art Center will be having its Spring into Art Camp on March 25 to 29, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The cost for this fun activity is $200 /per person or $170 for members. There will be two different groups based on age. Spring in the Garden is for children 5 – 7 years of age, and the children will do art projects inspired by nature. They will be creating dandelion pastel drawings, hydrangea bubble paintings and fingertip cherry blossom posters. Other fun projects include a mosaic birdbath, sculpting colorful insects and building dioramas. For ages 8+, the Spring Into Art program includes painting rainstorms and rainbows, sculpting baby animals and making garden plaques. They also will be creating flower power collages and wind chimes. The Terranea Resort offers several different activities for children to join while their moms enjoy a visit to the spa or just a lunch outing. While you are enjoying the amenities of the resort, your children can play at the Tide Pool Adventure Camp, offered from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m, for ages 2-12, or Tide Pool Fun for kids 4-12 years of age which is offered from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Both of these children’s activities are fee based and require a reservation.
