PVE-Cares Speakers Luncheon To Discuss Recent Scams Targeting Seniors

PVE – CARES will be hosting a Speakers Luncheon on Tuesday, March 26, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church, located at 2200 Via Rosa, Palos Verdes Estates.  This  event will feature a speaker from the District Attorney’s Elder Abuse Section, who will be talking about the recent scams targeting the senior population.

Palos Verdes homes owners are lucky to have the PVE-CARES (Palos Verdes Estates Community Assistance and Resources for the Elderly and Seniors) Program which is geared to our residents 65 and older.  The program was created by the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department to assist seniors so they may live independently and feel safe in their homes on the Peninsula. The program itself offers many different events to increase awareness of the programs that the city offers for seniors – updating them on current security issues, how to notify the police department when leaving on vacation, local assistance in health care and medical needs, etc.  Contact PVE-CARES, or go to the website (click here to view) to learn more.  Members will receive information, sent directly to them, regarding all the activities. These events require a reservation; so please contact PVE-CARES (310) 378-4211 x 2131.
