Palos Verdes Residents Offered New Citizen Notification Service

Palos Verdes homes owners are invited to join the NIXLE program which the City of Palos Verdes Estates launched to allow residents to stay informed of emergency alerts here on the Peninsula.  These alerts could include weather events, road closures, safety advisories, disaster or just general city information through email and text messaging.

Recently, residents were alerted to a fire off of Palos Verdes Drive West and informed of street closures in the fire vicinity. This is just one way that the NIXLE program will help keep residents advised of activities going on in our community, and keep us safe.

The new NIXLE program is free to residents but you need to register yourself.  Just go to and click the “sign up free” button.  You will need to complete the information requested and click on the “sign me up button”.  If you have problems with the site, you can contact the Community Relations Officer at the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department at (310) 378-4211.
