South Coast Botanic Garden Offers Summer Concerts
South Coast Botanic Garden offer summer concerts for Palos Verdes homes owners to enjoy in the upper meadows. What could be better than to have a relaxing evening of music surrounded by the gorgeous array of flowers. So bring a blanket or beach chair, picnic and enjoy the ambiance of the gardens.
On Sunday, July 13, 2014, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., the Palos Verdes Symphonic Band will be entertaining concert goers. This local non profit 60 person band is led by maestro David Stanton, with a repetoire including big band, jazz, show tunes, marches and folk favorites from America and around the world. The cost for this performance is $9 per person.
On Sunday, July 27, 2014, starting at 5:00 p.m., the concert will be sponsored by Freedom4U, and will have music led by Dain Kirkpatrick and Friends, along with professionals from Los Angeles and New york. This should be a fun evening of jazz, funk & blues. The cost for this event is $15 per person.
On Sunday, August 24, 2014, starting at 5:00 p.m., the Windy Ridge Bluegrass Band will be entertaining you with traditional, contemporary and original bluegrass songs. Accoustic instruments blend with the vocals and lead with harmony. The cost of this concert is $15 per person.
Last but not least, on Monday, September 1, 2014, from 5:00 – 7:00p.m., the Palos Verdes Symphnonic Band will be playing a Labor Day Concert. David Stanton, the maestro will have a repetoire of big band, jazz, show tunes, marches and folk favorites from America and around the world. The cost for this event is $8 per person.
