Palos Verdes Golf, Tennis, Beach & Athletic Clubs
Palos Verdes home owners have a variety of recreational facilities in their midst. Summer is a great time to look at the different facilities and try them out. Below is a list of these Palos Verdes Estates clubs:
Palos Verdes Tennis Club is located at 3303 Via Campesina, Palos Verdes Estates, and membership applications are available at the club or online at www.pvtennisclub.com. This facility has 12 courts (10 of which are lighted), a clubhouse, locker room and a pro-shop. Some of the different programs offered are certified teaching pros for group or private lessons, family oriented activities, Marine League, competitive tournaments, and a junior program for all ages and ability. Membership cost includes an initiation fee of $2,000 and a residential monthly fee of $70. Currently, there is not a waiting list for residents. (Non resident memberships are available if membership falls under 400).
Palos Verdes Golf Club is located at 3301 Via Campesina, Palos Verdes Estates, and membership applications are available from the Club or online at www.pvgc.co. This facility offers a golf course, driving range, restaurant and bar, banquet facilities & clubhouse. The different programs offered are golf lessons with PGA professionals, NCAA Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, community benefit tournament and junior golf program. Membership costs include an initiation fee of $49,000 (PVE Resident Property Owners) and the monthly member dues of $600 for residents. There is a quarterly $300 food and beverage fee. (Other non-resident amounts can be found online). Currently, there is no waiting list for residents.
Palos Verdes Beach & Athletic Club is located at 389 Paseo del Mar, Palos Verdes Estates. This facility has a 5 story clubhouse, competition 6 lane pool, children’s pool, fitness center and offers private party rentals (member sponsored). The membership costs include an initiation fee (regular membership is $8,000 and resaleble membership is $16,000) and member dues are $150/month for residents. The current membership for the club is 610 families, and there are 318 families on the waiting list. Residents who are non members are allowed to use the pool for day use for $30 per person (This excludes holidays).
