Palos Verdes Estates Celebrates Recreation Days At Stables, Beach, Tennis & Golf Clubs
The City of Palos Verdes Estates Celebrates its 75th Anniversary with a diverse list of special city events. Some of these special events are sponsored by our community organizations which have presented these events over the years and will do so again this year in honor of Palos Verdes Estates’ 75th Anniversary Year and for the enjoyment of Palos Verdes home owners. On September 27th and 28th, 2014, the city will be opening the doors for residents to enjoy our local private recreational city clubs.
On Saturday, September 27th between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., the Palos Verdes Beach and Athletic Club, located at 389 Paseo del Mar, will celebrate the City’s anniversary by opening its doors to include complimentary use of the swimming pools and spas, as well as an open house of their beautiful clubroom with panoramic views. Fresh baked cookies and lemonade will be served. Be sure to bring some sort of PVE resident identification (ie. Driver License) since this event is for PVE residents/property owners.
Palos Verdes Stables located at 4057 Via Opata will also be opening their doors on Saturday, September 27th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., to offer a family friendly day with FREE pony rides and much more. At 3:45 p.m., there will be a children’s jumping competition where interested participants can jump a course for prizes. Food and refreshments will be available.
Also on September 27th between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m., you can join in the fun at the Palos Verdes Golf Club located at 3302 Via Campensina. You will be able to be participate in Demo Day by hitting balls on the Driving Range and playing a 9 hole Putting Course. Once again proof of PVE residency must be shown at the Pro Shop to participate.
On Sunday, September 28, 2014, beginning at 11:00 a.m., bring the family and join in the fun at the Palos Verdes Tennis Club located at 3303 Via Campensina. There will be open play from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., clinics for all levels from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m., a special kids clinic, and a mixed doubles tournament from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., There will be free snacks and beverages served. For more information on these events contact the City Hall at (310) 378-0383. The Palos Verdes Tennis Club is located next to the Palos Verdes Golf Club. Please call in advance if you wish to participate in the tournament (310) 373-6324. Once again PVE residence or property ownership is required for entry.
