Palos Verdes Performing Arts 2014-2015 Series
Palos Verdes Performing Arts is presenting its 2014-2015 season for Palos Verdes home owners to enjoy. After 32 years, the Norris Theatre, Harlyne J. Norris Pavillion and The Norris Education Department (which has recently been renamed the Palos Verdes Performing Arts Conservatory in anticipating of the opening of a new facility in 2015) are now under the umbrella of a new organization named Palos Verdes Performing Arts. They will be featuring top name comedians, musicians, theater entertainers and our own local talent. Below are just a few of the special performances in the 2014-2015 series:
On Saturday, November 1, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. “Beginnings” a tribute to the Music of Chicago. This group was established out of the love and respect for the music of one of the greatest American Rock bands of all time – Chicago. This group has played in large venues throughout the country and will now perform here for us.
On Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 8:00 p.m.”The Best Of Doo-Wop At Christmas” will feature music by the Platters, The Tokens, Billy and the Corvettes and more.
On Saturday, January 17, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. “The Las Vegas Rat Pack Tribute” will be presented which will get your feet tapping.
On January 23 through February 8, 2014, the play series will begin with “Love, Sex and the I.R.S.” The shows will be on Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2;00 p.m.
On March 6 – 8, 2014, ” The Diary of Anne Frank” will be performed on Friday & Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
On Saturday, March 14, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. PV Live will be sponsoring Ed Alonzo, “The Misfit of Magic.” This gentleman has lots of tricks up his sleeves.
On Saturday, April 11, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. “DSB – Favorite Tribute to Journey” will be features and expected to be a sell-out performance.
On April 24 – 30, 2014, “CATS” will be performed on Friday & Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
On May 16, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. “A Grand Night for Broadway” will be closing out the performance series with performances by David Burnham and Christina Saffran.
