Palos Verdes Woman’s Club 59th Annual Garden Tour
The Palos Verdes Woman’s Club will be celebrating Springtime Splendor with its 59th Annual Garden tour this Saturday, May 16, 2015. The tour will feature five beautiful Peninsula gardens and includes a catered box lunch served at Hesse Park in Rancho Palos Verdes from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..
Established in 1926, this community organization provides social projects to enhance the community. The first activity organized by the Club was a Sunday school program held at Malaga Cove School, then dance classes and other social functions aimed at bringing together the residents of the Peninsula community. These activities continued through the Great Depression, World War II and now the 21st Century.
A significant portion of the funds are designated for achievement/community service scholarship awards for graduating seniors from the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District, and the remaining funds are distributed to local charities.
Tickets are $40 pre-sale and $45 on the day of the tour.
