Palos Verdes Performing Arts Presents “Fiddler On The Roof”
Palos Verdes home owners have the Palos Verdes Performing Arts Norris Theatre with its wonderful selection of entertainment located here on the Peninsula to enjoy. “Fiddler on the Roof” is one of the most loved musicals of all time, and the winner of nine Tony Awards. This fabulous show will be playing at the Norris beginning on April 22nd and run through May 8, 2016, and has touched audiences worldwide with its sense of humor, warmth and honesty.
The show will place you in the little village of Anatevka, where Tevye, a poor milkman wants to honor and maintain his families religious customs. While trying to protect his family and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social ideas, the historical and ethnic details of the show’s universal themes cut across ideas of race, class, nationality, and religion. This production will be woven by dance, music and laughter into an electrifying and unforgettable experience. The show will features Broadway classics as “If I Were A Rich Man,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” “Sunrise,Sunset,” and “To Life” which all will be accompanied by a live orchestra.
Performance times for “Fiddler On The Roof” at the Norris Theatre are 8:00 p.m. on Fridays & Saturdays and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets start at $48 for adults and can be purchased on line at ww.norriscenter.com or call (310) 544-0403.
