Palos Verdes Art Center Offers Art-Rageous Summer 2016 Camp
Palos Verdes Art Center is offering its Art-Rageous Summer Camps with a variety of classes for Palos Verdes homes owners’ children to enjoy here on the Peninsula. These classes will encourage your children to develop their creativity and skills and just find some new ways to have fun! Each week’s theme and activities, designed by art educators, are different. Classes are divided into age appropriate groups.
Age Group 5 – 7 – Five Sessions to Choose From:
July 11 – July 15 – Whimsical Folk Art: Around the World
July 18 – July 22 – Peter Pan: Wild Animals
July 25 – July 29 – Mythical Animals: All the Colors of the Rainbow
August 1 – August 5 – The Enchanted Forest: Modern Masters
August 8 – August 12 – The Great Outdoors: A Very Happy Un-Birthday
Age Group 8+ – Five Sessions to Choose From:
July 11 – July 15 – Off the Wall: Realistic, Surreal & Folk Art Painting
July 18 – July 22 – Pop Art Sculpture Shadow Boxes: Explorers
July 25 – July 29 – Birds of a Feather: Peter Pan
August 1 – August 5 – Mythological Animals: Rainforest
August 8 – August 12 – You are Illuminating: Catlina Island
Half Day Cost is $220 (Members $190), and runs from 9:00 a.m. to noon or the afternoon session is from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Full Day is $300 (Members $270) and runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Full day campers can either bring their lunch or order from Stripe Cafe.
Other single classes offered during the summer months for children are: Ceramics – Creative Ways with Clay & Beginning Wheel – Drawing & Painting – Youth Drawing & Youth Painting & Pastel, Youth Drawing & Chalk & Oil Pastel.
