Palos Verdes home owners have a fabulous selection of local venues to celebrate special events. Whether its for a a wedding, special party, classes or even large meetings there is a facility here on the Peninsula which will fulfill your requirements. Palos Verdes residents can choose from a formal celebration, large adult party event, or even children’s parties which include playground areas.
The Palos Verdes Art Center can accommodate parties up to 350 dinner guests or 500 guests for a reception event. Whether a large or small event, they can help you make it special and guests can also enjoy the artwork and graphics surroundings. The Palos Verdes Art Center is located at 5504 W. Below is a list of Palos Verdes park facility rentals that each have their own special niche. While many of the larger facilities will allow you to bring in your own DJ and serve alcohol on the premises, you will need to contact the facility itself for all restrictions and insurance requirements.
Robert E.Ryan Community Park is located at 30359 Hawthorne Boulevard, Rancho Palos Verdes. This beautiful park has a small indoor facility with one room available for rent. The Activity Room will accommodate 30 people and has a linoleum floor, sink, counter space and small outdoor patio. This is a great location for children’s parties or classes. Fred Hesse Jr. Community Park is located at 29301 Hawthorne Boulevard, Rancho Palos Verdes. Hesse Park has three rooms that are available to rent. McTaggart Hall holds up to 150 guests and was formerly the community hall. This room has carpeting, includes a wet bar and has a small outdoor patio. There is a 12′ x 12′ portable wooden dance floor available at a small charge. The Fireside Room is a cozy carpeted room which is suitable for approximately 40 guests for meetings and small parties. This room has counter space, couches, and a fireplace. There is an outdoor patio which makes it great for indoor/outdoor events. The Activity Room will accommodate up to 40 guests. This room has a painted concrete floor, counter space & sink, and tables & chairs which makes it a great location for children’s parties. Ladera Linda Community Center is located at 32201 Forrestal Drive, Rancho Palos Verdes. This Community Center has several classrooms and a Multipurpose Room for rent. The Multipurpose Room will accommodate up to 125 guests and has a linoleum floor and use of a small kitchen area with a sink, counter space, refrigerator and microwave. The classrooms will accommodate up to 40 people and are perfect for meetings and classes. Some rooms are carpeted while others have a linoleum floor. Tables and chairs are available for use. Point Vicente Interpretive Center is located at 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West, Rancho Palos Verdes. This park is known for its sunning ocean views, and is located on the cliffs adjacent to the Point Vicente Lighthouse. This natural setting by the sea is a wonderful location for an outdoor wedding in the Ibrahim El Hefni Amphitheater, and a reception or other special event in the Sunset Room, with its adjoining large outdoor patio. Founders Park is located on Trump National Drive in Rancho Palos Verdes. This park is great for a small stand up ceremony (up to 15 people, plus the wedding party) for any one hour block of time between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The cost is $475 which includes a refundable security deposit of $175. The security deposit will be returned approximately 4 to 6 weeks following the event, provided all conditions are met. There are no chairs, props, etc.; however, minimal flower decorations are permitted. Parking is available in the Public Lot on the left just before you get to the Trump National Clubhouse (or if full, parking is permitted on Trump National Drive). General Information: The outside picnic areas of Ryan Park, Ladera Linda, Hesse Park and the Point Vicente Interpretive Center are not reserved and are available to the public on a first come basis. There are barbecues at Hesse Park and Ryan Park in assigned areas. None of the city parks allow bounce houses, canopies, tents or large animals. Click here for a list of Park Site Amenities.
