Palos Verdes Performing Arts Presents “The Music Man”
Palos Verdes home owners have the Palos Verdes Performing Arts Norris Theatre with its wonderful selection of entertainment to enjoy locally, here on the Peninsula. “The Music Man” is one of the most loved musicals of all time, and a Tony Award musical comedy. This fabulous show will be playing at the Norris beginning on April 21st and run through May 7, 2017; it has touched audiences worldwide with its sense of humor, warmth and honesty.
This classic story is about a fast talking traveling salesman Harold Hill who brings trouble to River City, Iowa, when he cons the townspeople into buying instruments and uniforms for an imaginary band. His plan is foiled when the town librarian steals his heart, and skipping town is then out of the question. This show has been an audience favorite for over 50 years, and will be shared with many generations to come as a musical theatre favorite. You will be able to enjoy such broadway songs as “Seventy-six Trombones, and the renowned song, “Til There Was You.”
Performance times for “The Music Man” at the Norris Theatre are 8:00 p.m. on Fridays & Saturdays and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets start at $30 for adults and can be purchased online at ww.norriscenter.com or call (310) 544-0403.
