Palos Verdes Art Center 2017 Summer Art Camps
Palos Verdes Art Center is offering its Summer Art Camps 2017 with a variety of classes for Palos Verdes homes owners’ children to enjoy here on the Peninsula. These classes will encourage your children to develop their creativity and skills and just find some new ways to have fun! Each week’s theme and activities, designed by art educators, are different. Classes are divided into age appropriate groups.
Age Group 5 – 7
June 19 – June 23
June 26 – June 30
Students will enhance their reading and writing skills while awakening their imagination by creating original illustrated books and paper sculptures. In this week long program students will engage in maneaningful interactive activities such as performances led by local musicians, visits by professional artists, dance activities, and guided tours of PVAC exhibitons. This art camp is designed to develop basic skills while building confidence in a fun and nurturing environment.
Age Group 8+
June 19 – June 23
June 26 – June 30
Students will explore the exciting urban art scene through music and painting. In this week-long program, students will build functional musical instruments that will be decorated with their own original LA inspired art. This camp will give students an opportunity to explore and learn a combination of basic music skills and visual art techniques. Students will enjoy engaging with their peers, professional musicians and local artists.
