Palos Verdes Estates Annual 2018 Hazardous & E Waste Collection
The City of Palos Verdes Estates will be holding its Annual Hazardous and E-Waste Collection Event in partnership with waste hauler, Athens Services. This is a great time to rid yourselves of all the hazardous waste items that collect around your home. This includes paint, solvents, pesticides, car and household batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, pool chemicals, cleaners, oil and other hazardous materials. Also you have an opportunity to dispose of electrical items that cannot be picked up with regular trash collections such as TV’s, printers, DVD players, computers and more.
Palos Verdes Estates residents (please bring proof of residency) can bring all of these articles to the Palos Verdes High School parking lot on Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The school is located at 600 Cloyden Road, Palos Verdes Estates. It is important to note that the City will no longer allow residents to drop off e-waste in front of City Hall because of safety concerns.
Additionally throughout the year, the S.A.F.E. Collection site (household hazardous waste) is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 1400 N. Gaffey Street, San Pedro.
