Palos Verdes Art Center 2018 Homes Tour
The Palos Verdes Art Center will be presenting its 32nd Annual Homes Tour, Legends By The Sea: A Tale of Three Homes, on Friday April 20, and Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Tour will feature three homes that have a unique mix of designs from a a mid-century oceanfront hideaway, to a bold 21st century contemporary and a classic Italian villa built in 1916.
Author’s Eclectic Abode (above) features the allure of the sea that brought an artist’s dream to life in this stylish rustic beach-side residence and studio, which was transferred piece by piece from the Portuguese Bend slide area after the 1956 landslide that also destroyed the original Portuguese Bend clubhouse.
Cliffside Contemporary (above left) is a stunning 21st century contemporary that has a commanding view of Portuguese Point and is complimented by its gated cliff side privacy. Located above Abalone Cove, this high ceiling home is spacious and stylish, complimented by windows which frame the ocean view.
Founder’s Grand Vision (above right) known as Villa Narcissa, is a classic Italian villa and the living embodiment of Peninsula history created by Frank A. Vanderlip’s vision and filled with Renaissance treasures. The historic Villa Narcissa retains its Italian roots with formal gardens complementing the entrance door that is crowned by a replica Della Robbia frontispiece.
The tour starts at the Palos Verdes Art Center where you will pick up your map and self-drive to these three diverse homes. Complimentary valet parking is available at the Art Center where you will also enjoy a gourmet lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., shop collectibles, designer boutiques, original local art and a raffle.
Tour ticket prices for this memorable event are $70/advance ticket purchase, $75 for tickets purchased on the day of the event and Palos Verdes Art Center member ticket price is $65.
