Enjoy Palos Verdes Library District’s April Free Movies!

pvld

The Palos Verdes Library District has two great free movies that they will be showing in the month of April 2018.  Each month they offer a different selection of foreign movies – a “latest” releases  and classic cinema.  Most of the screenings will have some post film discussion which adds an opportunity to socialize with others in the community.  The PVLD’s Ciné-Monde, a film series featuring notable films from around the globe, will be screening THE SALESMAN at 5:30 p.m., on Thursday, April 12, 2018, in the Peninsula Center Library Community Room.  The film will be in its original Persian with English subtitles.  This event is free and open to the public.

The Multiplex film series (featuring notable, popular and recent American releases from Hollywood) occurs on the fourth Thursday of the month on April 26, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.  In April they will be presenting The Darkest Hour, which was a top choice for this years Oscars and won many awards (I have seen this movie and recommend it).  These movies are free and open to the public.  Following the film, there may be a brief discussion facilitated by the coordinator of the series.

All of the film screenings will take place at the Peninsula Center Library Community Room.  The Peninsula Center Library is located at 701 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates.  For more information regarding any of the films, call 310-377-9584, ext 214 or contact Joshua at jpeck@pvld.org.
