South Coast Botanic Garden June 2018 Events!

South Coast Botanic Garden is inviting all Palos Verdes homes owners to enjoy some outdoor fun.  In addition to the monthly classes that are available, June will be bring some unique activities for all to enjoy.

On June 3, 2018, the Ferrari Car Show will be held at the upper meadow from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  This is included with the paid garden admission.  The Ferrari has been in production since 1943 and this beautiful automobile has won over 5,000 races all over the world.  These legendary cars will be available for viewing and no registration is required.

June 15 to August 31, 2018, a magical competition is brewing at South Coast Botanic Garden.  Who will win, Team Fairies or Team Trolls?  The tiniest Garden inhabitants need your help to solve a collection of ridiculous riddles and win the big prize – a Merry Fairy Trollstone of your very own.  This is a fun time to use your wits, courage and imagination to put your team on top.  You can join in by dressing the part by wearing wings, don a troll hat, put on an invisible costume or stop by the Magical Outfitters in the Fit Shop.  This adventure is not just for kids, Trolls and Fairies of all ages are welcome.

On June 17, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., take Dad on an unforgettable adventure at the Garden as you hike through trails, design a memory box, and create burnt wood art.  Then relax at the Craft Beer station to enjoy a cold brew from Smog City Brewing and play a game of corn hole.  All Dads receive one complimentary beer.  Drinks available for purchase on-site.  This event is rain or shine.

On June 19, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. you can come and enjoy Free Day – No Garden Admission.  This is free for all visitors to enter the Garden on the the third Tuesday of the Month.  No registration is required for this event.

On June 29, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., you can enjoy the movie “Trolls” for $5 members/$10 non-members.   Arrive early to show off your moves with the lively family dance party in the Garden and to explore the Fairies vs.Trolls treasure hunt located throughout the 87-acres. Pack your own picnic or enjoy a purchased dinner from the on-site concessions as you await the sunset and main attraction.
